Where You Will Work
Interns are assigned to various locations in Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Iowa, supporting our business in a variety of disciplines.
DescriptionUnder general supervision, performs MIS related duties assigned per department. As such responsibilities are carried out; unscheduled and scheduled overtime may be required. Also may be required to work outside of normal working hours.
This MIS internship will be located at one of our Site operations. Below are samples of summer projects that interns will be assigned.
Operations Systems Analyst Tasks Include:
Provides support for operational and engineering applications and data systemsAssists with data-driven process improvement projectsMonitor and maintain system health of supported applicationsCreate reports using advanced querying and report-building tools
Control Systems Analyst Tasks Include:
Provides technical support for designated plant control system (PCS) information technologySupports the process control network (PCN), O/S patching/upgrades and security-related technologies within the PCSMonitor and maintain system health of supported systemsDevelops documentation of plant control system IT-related services
Infrastructure Technician Analyst Tasks Include:
Sets up, delivers and installs PCs and peripheral equipmentInstalls software and assists with routine user questions and problemsPreventive maintenance and troubleshooting of PC or peripheral related issuesMaintains an adequate inventory of equipment. Performs other duties as requiredQualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time student currently enrolled at an accredited four-year university majoring in an appropriate MIS or Computer Technology discipline or closely related field; ORRecent college graduate having graduated within 12 months prior to internship start date with a degree in MIS, or Computer Technology or closely related fieldProficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPointPossesses strong data analysis and problem solving skillsHighly accurate and detail orientedPossesses strong oral and written communication skillsDemonstrates initiative, organizational skills and ability to work well under pressureDemonstrates ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team environmentMust be able to demonstrate our core values of honesty, fairness, respect, trust, and integrity

Compensation:
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $22.25 - 28.00/hour. Individual pay rates will be based on level of education and relevant experience.
