Take the next step in your career with a Procurement Internship at Leslie’s! This 10-week, hands-on learning experience is designed for students studying Supply Chain, Inventory, or Logistics, offering exposure to inventory management, procurement strategies, and contract management.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to support procurement operations while developing valuable analytical and problem-solving skills.

10-week program, with weekly schedule Monday-Thursday. Program specific training and development through orientation, skills workshops, and hands-on learning. Exposure to Senior leadership through a team project where interns will work cross-departmentally to address a real-life opportunities within our business. Interns will deliver final presentations to leaders across the organization at the completion of the program. Functional learning and professional growth within your designated business area.Responsibilities:
Recommend and implement inventory management strategies for Procurement and Replenishment. Identify and execute liquidation plans for non-moving inventory. Purchase operational supplies for 900+ stores, Distribution Centers, and the Corporate Office. Negotiate and communicate vendor delivery dates, escalating critical shortages and delays. Monitor contract lifecycles, ensuring upcoming expirations are flagged for stakeholders. Track contracts through the signing process, verifying all necessary approvals. Support store operations through superior customer service via phone and email. Utilize Excel, Microsoft Access, and JDA AS 400 for data analysis and procurement tasks. Ensure purchase orders (POs) are accurate to facilitate timely receipt at distribution centers. Evaluate product allocation strategies and monitor them for accuracy. Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions to optimize efficiency.Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field. (expected graduation no later than Spring 2026). Previous business internship experience preferred. Ability to work at the Phoenix, AZ corporate office on in-person days. (Out-of-state students are welcome to apply if they can attend in-office days) Authorization to work in the United States. Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
