At Applied’s CTO group, we focus on developing new semiconductor materials and devices for emerging markets and technology inflections by harnessing our state-of-the-art materials engineering and semiconductor processing capabilities. The position will entail the following: **Responsibilities** + Work with process, hardware, and metrology team to develop new functional PVD materials + Design and conduct experiments and collect and analyze metrology data for process optimization + Explore new growth areas leveraging Applied’s expertise in precision material engineering **Requirements** + Education: MSE/EE/Phys, working towards Ph.D. degree + Hand-on experience in semiconductor material growth, device fabrication, and characterization + Passionate about semiconductor material and device engineering + Good communication and presentation skills **Compensation** $49 - $54 per hour The rate offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and education level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
