2025 Summer Process Owner Internship

Program Experience 

CSL’s Internship Program is a hands-on experience that showcases the daily innovation and operations of a leading biotechnology company. Our environment is collaborative, global, and purpose-driven. This internship will span 10-12 weeks, offering an opportunity to gain valuable industry experience in a supportive and professional environment. The intern will work in a dynamic and equitable environment that emphasizes health and safety, operational efficiency, and a culture of continuous improvement.  

The Summer Intern will work on a special project focused on enhancing process capacity, addressing a corrective measure, performing data analysis, or ensuring compliance with regulatory or operational standards. This internship offers a hands-on experience in driving measurable improvements, with guidance from the Operational Services and collaboration with cross-functional teams in Manufacturing, Quality, and Facilities & Engineering.

Main Responsibilities:

Project Management and Execution:

Lead a defined special project aimed at improving process efficiency, quality, or compliance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables.

Develop a project plan with clear milestones and timelines.

Data Analysis and Performance Monitoring:

Collect and analyze process data, including input/process parameters and output measures.

Create dashboards and visual summaries of data trends and performance metrics.

Identify areas for improvement and recommend data-driven solutions.

Process Improvement:

Support efforts to standardize best practices and process methods.

Assist in incorporating improvements into the process and ensuring sustainability.

Documentation and Compliance:

Ensure process documentation is updated and utilized effectively.

Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and batch records.

Contribute to compliance efforts by aligning project outcomes with regulatory requirements.

Learning Opportunities:

Gain hands-on experience in process improvement and project management.

Develop skills in data analysis, dashboard creation, and performance monitoring.

Understand the regulatory and quality requirements for manufacturing processes.

Build collaboration and communication skills by working with cross-functional teams.

Contribute to meaningful improvements that directly impact patient needs and business goals.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements: 

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or master’s program in Engineering, Science, or a related field.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
