Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2025 placement with a start date of May 2025 and end-date of August 2025.

In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2025; orIf you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2025), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

This 4-month opportunity resides within the Business Financial Services (BFS) Strategy Team and will be focused on standing up the Climate Data initiatives which includes data transformation, ingestion, and reporting with both hands on and facilitator responsibilities.

What will you do?

Facilitate data ingestion into the Climate Data HubCreate data assets to automate reporting processesBuild out climate related reports, dashboards, and visualizations leveraging datasets available on the Climate Data Hub and prepare clear, concise and insightful analyticsDevelop a subject matter expertise in all manner of climate data including data analysis, aggregation, interpretation and recommendationDocument all reporting processes for audit purposesInvestigate/research new developments in the climate data space

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Strong business and data acumenPython and SQL programming and experienceExpertise with MS Office SuiteKnowledge and working experience with data management and visualization using tools such as TableauStrong data manipulation capabilitiesDegree in quantitative field of study (e.g. Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Computer Science) – to demonstrate capability for critical thinking and data analysisExcellent communication skills; ability to interact effectively with project managers, team members and senior business stakeholders

Nice-to-have

Relevant working experiences in ESG & ClimateExperience in the Financial industryExperience with data modeling and database administrationExpertise in navigating an Enterprise Data Warehouse, experience with Hadoop environments, R or other tools
