**Job Description** **Licensure/Certification Qualifications:** As a **Student Nurse Intern,** you will work under direct supervision, providing essential support in both routine and technical aspects of nursing care for patients of all ages. **Key Responsibilities:** + Assist with patient care activities while adhering to best practices and protocols. + Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure compliance with the Joint Commission and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations. + Help maintain a safe and healing environment for patients and families. **Units Available for Student Nurse Interns in Detroit Lakes:** + Intensive Care Unit (ICU) + Emergency Department (ED) + Medical/Surgical + BC/Med/Surg Rotation + Procedural Units: OR/Endoscopy **Units Available for Student Nurse Interns in Critical Access Hospital for Fosston, Ada and Graceville:** + Emergency Department (ED) + Medical/Surgical **Internship Requirements:** + Must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program + **Bachelor’s Degree Students** : must have completed Junior year of nursing program prior to Summer 2025 + **Associate Degree Students:** must have completed two semesters of nursing clinical prior to Summer 2025 + Enrolled in a nursing co-operative internship course for the summer 2025 semester + Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification within one month of hire + Must be able to commit to 32-40 hours/week (up to 400 hours for the entiresummer).
