Job Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineering Intern to support the Imaging Performance specialty engineering group by performing testing and evaluation of infrared cameras, data analysis and other related tasks as skills allow. The candidate will work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments. The candidate must be a well-organized self-starter, able to work in an engineering lab environment, have good communication and technical skills, and be able to professionally interact with others.

Job Responsibilities Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments Perform testing activities in an engineering lab environment and/ or outdoor field testing Conduct imaging analysis under the supervision of engineers Provide regular reporting of progress and status Complete assigned tasks on time Documentation of requirements, verification plans and test results Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs, and practices Support, communicate, reinforce, and defend the mission, values, and culture of the organization Qualifications Must be actively enrolled in a 4-year Undergraduate or Masters Program in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Optics or Physics related degree. Enrolled as either a Junior or Senior with at least a 3.0 or higher GPA Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) onsite U.S. Citizenship status is required

Familiar with Matlab Working experience in using lab equipment Excellent attention to detail Excellent written and oral communication skills

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
