Job Description

The intern will be responsible for maintaining various cell lines in culture vessels, collecting and analyzing data from high-throughput screening experiments, and operating analytical instruments like the NovaFlex2.

How You Will Contribute:

A key aspect of the role will involve utilizing data analysis and machine learning techniques to identify predictive markers for top-performing clones. This includes data cleaning, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and model development.The intern will also be responsible for keeping meticulous records of their work in an electronic notebook and presenting findings at the end of their term.

Internship Development Opportunities:

Intern will learn cell culture and possibly some molecular biology techniques associated with cell line development process. Furthermore, the intern will contribute in the efforts to develop machine learning models to identify top clones in early stages of the process.


Job Requirements:

This is an in-person position located in Cambridge, MACandidates must be currently enrolled in either a Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral program graduating December 2025 or laterStrong data analysis skills, including experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, or MATLAB)Familiarity with laboratory automation and data management systemsBasic understanding of machine learning concepts and techniquesStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
 

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipMust be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or laterThe internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22ndThe intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesTakeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
