Job Description

Embark on an engaging internship with a focus on unraveling the intricate molecular mechanisms underlying the pathobiology of fibrosis and immune diseases. The goal of this internship is to explore and analyze functional genomic datasets to identify important mechanisms and biomarkers linked to the progression and regression of fibrosis.

How You Will Contribute:

In this role, you will leverage our proprietary clinical multi-omics data assets and implement advanced AI/ML approaches. Beyond that, the internship presents a distinctive opportunity to explore and experiment with innovative strategies for data integration, visualization, and analytical approaches. Actively engage in the exploration of cutting-edge methodologies aimed at enhancing the precision and depth of our analyses, thereby contributing to the development of advanced techniques within the field of Precision Medicine and Biomarker Discovery. This environment actively encourages you to push the boundaries, fostering creativity and discovery in the realm of data-driven insights.

Internship Development Opportunities:

Job Requirements:

This position will be Hybrid located in Cambridge, MA

Must be pursuing an Undergraduate, Graduate, PhD, MD degree with completion of a minimum of one year of university studies.

Exceptional interpersonal, verbal communication and writing skills.

Deadline-driven with an elevated level of organizational and planning skills.

Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving and conceptual skills.

Proven record of accomplishment of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, initiative, and integrity.

Global mindset to grow in a diverse work environment.

Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar languages

Understanding or experience in using AI/ML for biological data analysis

Analytical skills for interpreting molecular mechanisms and pathways

Basic knowledge of immune diseases, multi-omics data and drug modulation

Willingness to explore cutting-edge methodologies for data integration and visualization


Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship

Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later

The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)

The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames

Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates

Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
