Job DescriptionAs a Data Quality and Visualization Intern, you will play a vital role in supporting the Data Quality and Data Visualization Manager within the US Business Unit Commercial team. This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience in both data quality management and data visualization practices within the pharmaceutical sector, enhancing data reliability, accuracy, and accessibility for business insights and decision-making.
How You Will Contribute:
Collaborate on Data Quality Initiatives: Work closely with the Data Quality Manager to implement data quality checks, track data accuracy, and ensure consistency across data sources. You will learn to evaluate data for completeness, validity, and integrity, and use best practices to enhance data quality.Assist in Data Cleaning and Transformation: Support data cleaning, validation, and transformation efforts to ensure accurate and reliable data is available for analysis. You will work with datasets to identify and resolve data anomalies, inconsistencies, and errors, learning essential data preparation techniques along the way.Create Data Visualizations and Reports: Collaborate on the design and development of data visualizations using tools like Tableau and Power BI. You will help create clear, impactful visuals and dashboards that enable stakeholders to understand trends, patterns, and insights within the data.Support Data Governance Strategies: Gain insights into data governance frameworks and assist in documentation related to data lineage, data definitions, and data ownership. You will learn how data governance principles can support data quality, compliance, and secure data use.Collaborate on Cross-Functional Projects: Engage with multiple teams within the business unit to understand their data needs and provide data quality and visualization support. You will gain experience working on projects that involve different stakeholders, offering a holistic view of data’s impact on business outcomes.Contribute to Data Quality Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining documentation for data quality processes, standards, and guidelines. This is a hybrid position located in Cambridge, MACandidates must be currently enrolled in bachelor’s program graduating December 2025 or laterPursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related fieldBasic knowledge of data quality frameworks, ETL processes, and data warehousingFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data manipulationUnderstanding of data governance principles and best practicesStrong analytical and problem-solving abilitiesEffective communication and teamwork skillsAttention to detail with a commitment to data integrityInternship Eligibility

$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
