Job Description

The Evidence Generation function within Global Medical Affairs Oncology plays a crucial role in generating and managing clinical and real-world data to support the effectiveness, safety, and value of our pharmaceutical products and providing early access to patients. Our main goal is to ensure speedy evidence generation in impactful areas to maximize value to patients and business.
 

Key activities include:

End to end study managementSupport, design and conduct clinical studies.Co-develop asset-focused Evidence Generation PlansProvide key competencies, services, tools and support around all aspects of evidence generation and expanded access.Collect and analyze real-world data and outcomes.Collaborate and empower the local teams to develop and execute local studiesCollaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address unmet needs, ensure access to patients, and disseminate findings.
 

How You Will Contribute:

The intern will support the Medical Affairs Company Sponsored (MACS) Publications Project within the Global Medical Affairs Oncology (GMAO) team. This role involves collaboration with the Global Medical Evidence (GME) and publications teams to categorize and report on MACS publications, aimed at improving the ability to capture and report metrics for MACS publications. This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in medical affairs, focusing on the generation and management of evidence to support oncology products.

Key Responsibilities:

Partner with GME and publications teams on the MACS Pubs iEnvision projectDevelop a categorization system for MACS publications in accordance with the publications SOP.Categorize MACS publications from the past 3 years.Develop a standard format for reporting of Evidence Generation (Ev Gen) publication metrics.Ensure compliance with relevant SOPs.Support the implementation of improved metrics capture processes and tools.Assist in presenting the project at a GMAO Town Hall.This role will enhance the ability of the GMAO Evidence Generation team to capture and report MACS publication metrics efficiently, ensuring streamlined reporting for Evidence Generation and informing key stakeholders. The intern will gain valuable experience in medical affairs, evidence generation, and data management.

Job Requirements:

This is an hybrid position located in Cambridge, MAPursuing a Bachelors degree in Chemical engineering or Mechanical engineering (juniors and seniors are preferred)Strong interpersonal skills.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, often cross-functionally. Demonstrates excellent skills in oral & written communication, organization, and prioritization of tasks.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Demonstrated knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point software
 

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipMust be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or laterThe internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22ndThe intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesTakeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
