Job Description

The Global Oncology Expanded Access Team within Global Medical Affairs Oncology is responsible for providing access to Takeda innovative and unlicensed medicines for patients with serious or life-threatening conditions who have exhausted all other options.

The Expanded Patient Access Manager, Global Medical Affairs Oncology is responsible for leading and managing complex research projects that focus on global oncology expanded access and sustainability. This role aims to improve operations and provide insights that support business decisions, contributing to Takeda's mission of bringing better health to people and a brighter future to the world.

How You Will Contribute:

You often work independently under general direction, interacting with collaborative senior internal and external personnel. You are energized by developing new insights alongside the Global Oncology Expanded Access Team that could inform policy impacting patients globally

Job Requirements:

This is a hybrid position located in Cambridge, MAMaster of Science candidate in Public Health, Regulatory, Bioethics, Pharmaceutical Management, or relevant areaExperience conducting and writing research papersExperience building effective networks to achieve project goalsBioethics or philosophy coursework is a plusHighly effective communications skills – written and verbalFlexibility, tolerance and diplomacy in identifying opportunities for process improvement with significant organizational impactExcels in verbal communication, able to articulate complex concepts clearly and adapt messaging for various audiences.

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipMust be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or laterThe internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22ndThe intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesTakeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include:
