Job DescriptionPackaging Development Engineers lead innovation, development, testing, and validation of all packaging materials for pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, and combination products. We also develop innovative and creative packaging solutions which meet the needs and requirements of our patients, manufacturing teams, and quality teams. We collaborate with Quality, Mfg, Regulatory, R&D, Clinical, Legal, and external partners including testing laboratories, CROs and CMOs.
How You Will Contribute:
Will be a supporting team member for ongoing projects for packaging development activities in a cross-functional team environment for drug and combination products.Provide support to test plans and protocols for verification of primary and secondary packaging, human factors studies, and manufacturing operations.Will work with external vendors and test labs to support project work.Will provide hands on support for concept testing in a lab environment.Will also provide support and contribute to sustainable packaging initiatives.Internship Development Opportunities:
Will gain knowledge of the regulations and quality requirements of the pharmaceutical and combination device industry. Will experience cross-functional project teams, learn to prioritize deliverables to meet project goals and timelines, will gain an understanding of manufacturing requirements and how to design for manufacturing, work with outside vendors to align with project needs, and gain knowledge in required testing to support packaging designs.Job Requirements:
This is a hybrid position located in Lexington, MACurrent undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Packaging Science/Engineering.Experience or knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging design/process and packaging materials.Technical and analytical skills for support of testing and process validations.Coursework or experience in a regulated industry preferred.Internship Eligibility

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
