Job DescriptionThe Parenteral Drug Product Development group is responsible for formulation development of synthetic and protein therapeutics for clinical trials as well as commercial launch. The group is responsible for the development of the final drug product as well as developing and scaling manufacturing processes to global manufacturing sites.
How You Will Contribute:
Plan, execute, and analyze laboratory experimentsDevelop a comprehensive understanding of protein formulation, stability and storageFocus on understanding protein stability, characterization methods, and manufacturing processesWork on an individual project and will support laboratory activities across many projects on an as-needed basis.Internship Development Opportunities:
Engage with biophysical and biochemical characterization techniques such as: size exclusion chromatography (SEC), cation exchange chromatography (CEX), imaged capillary isoelectric focusing (iCIEF), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), ultraviolet–visible (UV), fluorescence, and fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, light scattering, light obscuration, and microflow imagingGain hands on experience in lyophilization and solid-state characterization including Karl Fisher, scanning electron microscope (SEM), freeze-drying microscopy, and X-Ray powder diffraction (XRPD)Utilize laboratory equipment and experience with method development.Overall lab techniques for pharmaceutical protein developmentVarious biophysical techniquesOverall product developmentJob Requirements:
This position is fully onsite based out of our Lexington, MA office.A candidate working towards their BS degree or graduate degree (MS or PhD) in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, and Biological Sciences related is preferredHands-on laboratory experience (from previous internship, research lab, coursework)Knowledge about protein structure, stability, kinetics, and statistics is preferred.Protein formulation development experience and experience with analytical methods used for protein analysis such as HPLC, and spectroscopy preferredInternship Eligibility

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
