How You Will Contribute:
Role Focus: The intern will assist with managing biological samples, primarily from legacy acquisitions like TLON and TSD sites. Responsibilities include:
Sample Sorting and Uploading: The intern will work closely with scientists from Takeda’s Global Biologics team to sort samples and upload them into the HTI-Mosaic platform for inventory management.
Sample Tracking and Redistribution: They will be involved in tracking the samples in Mosaic and facilitating their redistribution for various scientific applications as requested.
Learning the Process: The intern will learn how samples are entered into the system and how they are prepared for downstream applications (like testing or experimentation).
Use of Liquid Handlers: The intern will also gain practical experience with liquid handling equipment, including serial dilution and plate replication processes, which are essential techniques in laboratory work.
Internship Development Opportunities:
Inventory Management: Understanding how biological samples are cataloged, tracked, and stored in an advanced platform like HTI-Mosaic.
Laboratory Techniques: Experience with liquid handling instruments that are vital for high-throughput testing and assay preparation.
Data Management: Insight into the data management workflows that support biologics research and sample sharing across teams.
Collaboration with Scientists: Close collaboration with global biologics teams, offering exposure to cross-functional workflows and scientific decision-making.
Job Requirements:
This position will be Fully Onsite and require 4+ days in the Cambridge, MA office per week.
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree ideally in Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related major
Inventory Management skills a plus
Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)
Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gathering
Highly reliable and a strong team player
Flexible with an attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Internship Eligibility
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship
Must be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or later
The internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 22nd) or (June 16th - August 29th)
The intern must be able to commit to one of these time frames
Able to work full time 40 hours a week during internship dates
Takeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

$21.00 - $46.00
The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship. The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location.
