Job Description:

The field of evidence generation is critical to the success of oncology treatments and the advancement of healthcare. With the establishment of a US-specific evidence generation framework, the US Medical Affairs Oncology (USMAO) is poised to expand its capabilities. This internship will focus on implementing the framework across brands, enhancing evidence generation processes, and supporting the initiation of new studies.


How You Will Contribute:

Framework Implementation: Roll out the US-specific evidence generation framework across multiple brands within the USMAO.Study Support: Assist in the planning, initiation and/or execution of studies, ensuring alignment with the evidence generation framework.Enhanced Capabilities: Identify and implement improvements to evidence generation processes, leveraging advanced analytics and innovative methodologies.Cross-Brand Collaboration: Foster collaboration across different brands to ensure cohesive application of evidence generation practices.Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all evidence generation activities adhere to high standards of quality and compliance with regulatory guidelines.Data Management and Analysis: Utilize robust data management and analysis techniques to support evidence generation activities and provide actionable insights.

Internship Development Opportunities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams and gain exposure to leaders within the US Oncology Business Unit (OBU).Gain a deep understanding of the US-specific evidence generation framework and its application across various brands.Develop skills in planning and initiating clinical studies, with hands-on experience in study support.Enhance your expertise in data management, analysis, and evidence generation methodologies.Engage in projects that enhance the quality and compliance of evidence generation efforts, contributing to the broader mission of advancing oncology treatments.

Job Requirements:

This position will be Hybrid and require 2-3 days in the Cambridge office per week.The candidate must be pursuing a Graduate or Master’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, data analytics, or related fields.Basic understanding of computer skills including MS Office (PowerPoint, Words, Excel)Internet skills including use of e-mails, group messaging and information gatheringHighly reliable and a strong team playerFlexible with an attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication skills

Internship Eligibility

Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorshipMust be currently enrolled in a degree program graduating December 2025 or laterThe internship program is 10-12 weeks depending on the two start dates (June 2nd- August 29th) or (June 16th - August 22nd)The intern must be able to commit to one of these time framesAble to work full time 40 hours a week during internship datesTakeda does not provide a housing stipend or relocation support for the U.S Summer Internship Program

U.S. Hourly Wage Range:

$21.00 - $46.00

The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s school year/level to be entered following completion of internship.  The actual hourly wage offered will be in accordance with state or local minimum wage requirements for the job location. 

 

U.S. internship benefits vary by location and may include: 

 Paid sick time

Commuter Benefit: To offset your work-commute expenses, Takeda provides U.S. employees with a fixed monthly subsidy to be used for either public transportation (transit) or parking.
