Your Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere in Johnston, IA, you will:
SAP Senior Software Engineer working on a product team executing application development, design, integration, and support of John Deere Financials’ business processes utilizing information technology and business practices for strategic business units utilizing technologies such as the SAP development stack, Amazon Web Services, unit testing frameworks, and databases Applies good Software Engineering practices such as Test-Driven Development, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, Object-Oriented design, and infrastructure as code to assist in the effective implementation and integration of applications Coaching and mentoring junior developers in object-oriented design, test-driven development, and software engineering best practices Has a working understanding of the Agile/SCRUM software delivery methodology Less than 10% domestic travel required
What Skills You Need
5 years of experience with design and developing solutions in SAP Object Oriented ABAP, SAP Process Integration and SAP HANA 5 years of experience leveraging DevSecOps and lean development principles including Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery with GitHub, Jenkins, and Active Control 5 years of experience working understanding of software test automation tools, Unit Testing Frameworks and End to End Testing Frameworks ABAP Unit and Work Soft Certify 5 years of experience using HTML5, JavaScript, Fiori/UI5 and CSS to implement front end web applications for end users
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
