Your Responsibilities

 

As a Staff Software Engineer for John Deere in Moline, IL, you will:

 

Develop features on Enterprise Data Lake using technologies but not limited to node.js, Scala, Python, Spark, React.js, public cloud; Partner with other products under Data Platform and Tools product families; Mentor junior software engineers within the team and across multiple products within Enterprise Data Lake; Analyze assignments and determine software specifications that must be fulfilled to achieve objectives for John Deere Data Analytics needs; Follow industry-standard agile software design methodology for development of all software solutions.

 

What Skills You Need

 

5 years of experience in develop and maintain full-stack solutions to meet business needs (Backend & Front End, Python, Spark, Java, node.js, Spark, and CI/CD) 5 years of experience in utilize public cloud services for solution development using AWS 5 years of experience in manage DevOps processes and application infrastructure using AWS cloud formation and CI/CD 5 years of experience using Enterprise Data Lake cloud platforms using Discover UDL Platform, Caterpillar Pricing Data Lake, or Softpro Cloud Platform 5 years of experience in ensure business continuity and risk management including Production Support and code debugging 5 years of experience in design and implement data integration and Machine Learning solutions using AWS Glue and DataBricks and DataStage, SAP HANA , Snowflakes, Informatica, ABnitio, Machine Learning, or GCP BigQuery

 

Education/Experience

 

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus 5 years related experience.
