Purchasing and inventory control for the Maintenance Department and DC Operations to ensure that the facility runs efficiently. Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 1. Candidate should be familiar with invoicing, ordering and receiving Parts into inventory and the CMMS application. 2. Responsible for assistance in setting up and maintaining the warehouse parts cage. 3. Manage space optimization within the parts cage and assigned racks. 4. Receive and store parts properly in assigned bin locations 5. Training and assist other Dollar Tree team member in locating parts within the parts catalogue, and procuring parts if necessary. 6. Address issues with regard to correcting any inbound packaging issues from our internal and external suppliers. 7. Compare invoices against requisitions to verify quality and quantity of merchandise received. 8. Receive purchase orders in system, generate receiving reports and appropriate paperwork to accounts payable 9. Communicate with internal teams and internal/external customers to keeping all informed of the inventory and shipping status 10. Must be able to pass Fork Lift Certification (valid driver’s license required). 11. Regularly monitoring the inventory work, the implementation of assigned processes, such as coordinate a cycle count program, and troubleshoot all order problems, and suggesting changes accordingly. 12. Provide accountability to assure Parts-room is secure at all times and kept in standard of compliance. 13. Provide assistance to Team members requesting and/or returning parts needed for repairs. 14. Build kits for scheduled PM’s and assign to techs by work orders. 15. Enter all transactions into the CMMS for assigned shifts. (i.e. Assigning parts bins building parts lists, building BOMs for equipment, updating equipment upgrades, generate check book reports. 16. Contact vendors by phone or fax to obtain pricing availability, of parts and places orders as needed 17. Process items in need of repair to appropriate vendors and / or exchange. 18. Generate order parts request list. 19. Generate work orders as needed 20. Perform assigned audits. 21. Perform housekeeping duties 22. Attend periodical meetings 23. Produces accurate monthly budget reports. 24. Follows set safety procedures and guidelines to maximize personal safety. 25. All other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education: High School preferred with some community college book keeping classes.Experience: 2 years of work experience preferably in book keeping and purchasing/inventory environment. Must be able to demonstrate an intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and Windows. Experience using a CMMS application is plus. Physical Requirements: Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation. These tasks require the ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. The Team Member should have adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling with or without reasonable accommodation. Team Member will be required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) per Distribution Center requirements. Working Conditions: Team Member will work in a climate controlled (office) atmosphere; however there may be frequent exposure to the Distribution Center (non-climate controlled). Team Member may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts or equipment, fumes and airborne particles as regulated by OSHA. Availability: Team Member will perform shift work and must be willing to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays. Critical Skills Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and management team. Physically Capable: Has the necessary hand and motor skills needed to perform essential work activities. Quality Conscious: Is committed to achieving and maintaining high standards.
