J.P. Morgan’s 23 Wall is a global team that provides strategic coverage to the world’s largest families, working across all lines of business. Our goal is to deliver the entirety of J.P. Morgan to families, working with them as institutions in terms of strategic partnerships, financing and access to private deals. The team sits within the Private Bank but has a Line of Business-agnostic mandate. We provide insight and access to the firm's expertise, capital, and deal flow across client balance sheets.
Key responsibilities
Client coverage responsibilities for billionaire clients and prospects of the Private Bank, targeting Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, New Mexico, and Mississippi markets Leverage global product and industry partners across the firm and in particular in the Investment Bank and Commercial Bank Work closely with the Private Bankers to deepen the Private Bank and firmwide relationship with their clients and prospects Originate new Private Banking and Investment Banking relationships based on your existing network Supervision of Analysts & Associates on specific projects or tasks Training, coaching and mentoring of junior colleaguesRole Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required Series 7, 66 licenses required for position; unlicensed candidates considered, but required to obtain licenses within 90 days of start date Ten plus years of experience in investment banking, private banking, and/or corporate finance Strong personal and professional network in the South region of the U.S. (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas) Outstanding commercial skills including experience with private clients/entrepreneurs and ability to originate business with the largest, most sophisticated clients Strong team player, ability and desire to work in a cross Line of Business capacity Excellent understanding of financial, legal and reputational risks facing large integrated investment banks in today's environment Strong management skills enabling you to effectively manage junior bankers in high pressure environments Outstanding written and oral communication skills A self-starter with energy, drive and a high degree of self-motivation to ensure the continued growth of the businessHaving a proven track record of building trust with clients and effectively managing relationships, both externally and internally, will be vital to this role. Possessing a collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively in a team, as well as valuing the innovation and creativity that diversity of thought brings, is essential.
