24-25 SY -Special Education Teacher
Special Education Teacher Qualifications + Certification in special education preferred  + Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) with a concentration in a content area + Secondary classroom experience in an urban context (three years preferred) + Solid and demonstrable teaching experience working with a variety of student academic levels + Exhibits the ability to collaboratively work within and across disciplines with a diverse instructional team + Experience working with parents and community + Excellent interpersonal communication skills, classroom management, and adaptive teaching The Special Education Teacher will report directly to the Special Education Coordinator and Principal. The Special Education teacher may actively co-teach a classroom of students alongside a core content teacher, and will support students for targeted small group and individual workshops .  This position will support and case manage for students enrolled in the Student Learning Support (SLS) cohort. These students receive a high level of special education support at Girls Global Academy in a variety of settings.  About Our School Girls Global Academy (GGA) is an all-girls public charter high school in Washington, DC. We are currently a Candidate to be an International Baccalaureate World School who offers the IB Career Programme with specific pathways in engineering and business.
