**Job Title: Janitor** **Job Description** The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital. This includes sanitizing rooms between patient discharges. The role involves a significant amount of walking, so candidates must be comfortable being on their feet all day. Duties include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning up spills, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces. Attention to detail is important as the work spans multiple floors. **Responsibilities** + Sanitize hospital rooms between patient discharges. + Wipe down equipment and surfaces. + Empty trash bins and dispose of waste appropriately. + Sweep and mop floors. + Dust furniture and equipment. + Clean up spills promptly and efficiently. + Use hospital-issued iPhones to receive assignments and access cleaning tutorials. **Essential Skills** + Experience working with smart phone technology. + Comfortable walking and standing for extended periods. + Ability to learn and navigate a large facility floor plan. + Housekeeping and janitorial experience. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GED or high school diploma preferred. + Previous experience in healthcare janitorial work is preferred. + Experience in janitorial work or manufacturing/distribution with a willingness to transition to healthcare. **Why Work Here?** Once brought on direct, hospital employees benefit from very competitive medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits.
