While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to lifting, pushing and/or pulling parts and pans up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is loud, and proper PPE is required at all times on manufacturing shop floor

Good communication skills & knowledge of basic shop math Able to read, write and understand basic instructions in English Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Able to lift/move up to 30 pounds regularly Able to learn how to use measurement instruments Ability to follow direction Ability to complete first piece verification Maintain a good attitude and be willing to learn Communicates effectively with other team members and Production Team Leader Be familiar with Human Performance tasks Able to perform entry level set-ups Understand the speeds and feeds pertaining to the machine they are operating (where applicable) Knowledge of all measuring instruments and gages for their operation Able to speak effectively before groups of co-workers, customers, auditors, etc. Able to read and interpret blue prints Working knowledge in manufacturing and quality processes and principles Able to comply to all SPC daily Requirements (if applicable) Able to understand and maintain machine complements (when applicable) LOTO certified Able to assist supervisor and lead person in the training of Machining Tech I-III Able to cross train in other areas as required Able to understand and meet department goals & metrics Participate in ABS Kaizen events as required Proficiently sets up, operates, and trouble shoots machinery for self/others Able to operate all standard machines related to the process in their assigned process Able to run hand feed grinding and CAM out (profile) Able to run straight shenk and TD grinding Able to run auto grind machines with 2 machine complement Able to prepare own tooling blades Exposure to surface grinder Able to perform own oil change Apply to read overlays on the comparator Exposure to RSS Grinders
