The Loss Prevention Associate contributes to the success of Sur La Table by securing company assets and overall safety of the distribution center.  The Loss Prevention Associate reports to either a Distribution Supervisor or Operations Manager.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Monitor employees and visitors entering and exiting the buildingGreet visitors in a professional and courteous mannerMonitor video surveillanceWatch and report irregularities, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situationsContact emergency responders as needed or as instructed by managementAnswer telephone calls and route appropriatelyMaintain batteries of scanners and other equipmentOrder office supplies and issue badges/locks as neededGeneral housekeeping, maintenance and organization of work areaRecord time worked, accurately and according to SLT policyConsistently follows all Sur La Table policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Additional responsibilities as assigned ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Ability to communicate verbally and work cooperatively with employees, vendors, and visitorsAbility to use the computer and other office equipment to accomplish work tasksAbility to adapt to change and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.Ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of timeAbility to accurately complete documentationAble to work overtime and weekends as business dictates.Ability to perform duties in an environment that is not climate controlled and will be exposed to dust, odors and noise. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Prior facility security experience preferredMaintain a high degree of confidentialityStrong attention to detailMust be at least 18 years oldSur La Table Core Competencies for Everyone:Focus on the Customer: You inspire and delight your customers.Be Genuine: Your communication style is respectful, effective and sincere.Make the Right Call: You effectively blend knowledge, experience, wisdom & decisive action.
