ALLEY BUYER – 2ND SHIFT
General Summary: JBS Pork is looking for a 2nd Shift Alley Buyer in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is responsible for receiving and evaluating the hogs as they arrive to the plant. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, flexible individual.
Responsibilities:
Receive and evaluate hogs as they arrive at the plant Accurately count, weigh, and sort off-quality hogs Supervise hourly union workforce in completion of duties Complete necessary paperwork Comply with relevant laws, rules, and procedures, including P & S and Humane HandlingConduct all dealings with internal and external personnel with courtesy and in a professional manner Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Ability to communicate fluently in English (both written and verbally) Excellent in conflict resolution and negotiation skills Experience in swine industry Experience in an agriculture environment Basic computer skills required Available for 2nd shift Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
