2nd Shift Automation Technician

6:00PM-7:00AM
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Primarily responsible for the installation, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical instrumentation and control systems. Performs all work in compliance with company policies, NCC Animal Welfare Guidelines, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
Under minimal supervision, install, test, and repair electrical instrumentation and control systemsRead and interpret repair manuals, diagrams, and schematics for the safe installation and repair of electrical instrumentation and control systemsAccurately complete required documentation and record in a timely mannerIdentify unsafe conditions through an understanding of relevant occupational hazards and safety precautions; test and correct or report to appropriate personnel if unable to correct on ownAll other duties as assignedEDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Associate degree in industrial Control Systems or a related field from an accredited institutionEXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Minimum 5 years’ repair and installation experience in varied industrial electrical instrumentation and control systems; experience in PLCs and computer-based HMIsKnowledge of national electric code, operation, assembly, installation, and diagnosis of industrial instrumentation and control systemsUnderstands and uses hand tools to install and repair industrial instrumentation control systemsIntermediate math and computer skillsAbility to work unsupervised and self-motivatedAbility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shift hoursSound work ethic, honesty, and moral characterSAFETY REQUIREMENTS:
Follow departmental and company safety policies and programsMust wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in areas where requiredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
