Job Title:  Boiler Operator

Summary: To operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers. 

Primary Responsibilities:

Operate, maintain, and service boilers, air compressors, chillers, hydraulic pumps, clarifiers, and cooling towers. Rebuild worn pumps, valves, and repair or replace piping systems. Assist other team members in providing information or collecting data relative to the plant services. Maintain an inventory of parts and reorder supplies. Perform chemical treatment for all systems. Required to maintain work records (work orders, PM's, Materials and parts) on computerized Maintenance system.

Requirements:

Must possess a Mass 2nd Class Fireman License. Must work well with others and have communication and interpersonal skills. Universal refrigeration license is a plus.  A minimum of 3 years experience as Boiler Operator is required.  Read, write and speak English. Follow manufacturing/equipment specifications. Perform basic math calculations. Use a computer, blueprints and schematics. Use/understand measuring devices/tolerances and various hand and power tools. Learn and apply quality standards of workmanship/product. Use machine tools such as drills, lathes, millers etc. To obtain forklift pallet-jack and/or man-lift license. Pass Leadership Assessment.
