2nd Shift - Cycle Counter I - Chatsaworth, CA Apply now » Date: Oct 18, 2024 Location: Chatsworth, CA, US, 91311 Company: Hubbell Incorporated Job Overview Hubbell Armorcast is seeking a cycle counter to support the planning and operations team with expediting inventory. The cycle counter will work either directly with the planning team or with the Assembly Supervisor to locate inventory and/or components and provide report outs of available WIP and/or materials. Under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor, the cycle counter will be required to use handheld scanning devices to process material movement entries. Pay range for this role will be $24-25 per hour along with a 10% shift premium for all hours worked in the 2nd shift. As a brand new hire, you will be available for $1000 retention sign on bonus after the 90th work day with Hubbell. Benefits begin first of the month following hire date. A Day In The Life + Research and perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and recommend process improvements + Locate inventory and support operations and planning in expediting inventory movement processes including materials and WIP + Conduct third party vendor audits to confirm quantity and part numbers for received materials + Execute assignments accurately and timely in a safe manner and with attention to detail and accuracy + Prepare various reports relative to the cycle counting process using basic MS Excel and MS Word + Comply with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines + Participate in team/safety meetings + Maintain the cleanliness and integrity of the facility through the 6s methodology + Complete other duties as assigned + Able to be flexible and demonstrate the ability to adjust to sudden changes in operational goals/demands + Ability to perform the assigned duties with a sense of urgency is critical The Company will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of the LA Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance (FCIHO). What will help you thrive in this role? + 2-3 years’ experience in warehousing and forklift operation is required + Experience organizing and managing an annual inventory + Understanding of basic inventory control procedures + Understanding of the inventory ABC’s + Ability to use SAP (EWM Monitor, RFU & Physical inventory T-Codes) or MRP applications + Basic understanding of labels software. + Able to operate material handling equipment + Able to perform work for a minimum of eight hours + Willingness to embrace the Hubbell Values and Behaviors. + Able to lift 5 - 50 lbs from floor to waist and waist to floor with or without lift support + Ability to read, comprehend and carry out simple instructions from oral or written communications + Excellent math and analytical skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication + Self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision + Knowledge of Excel and Word Hubbell Incorporated Hubbell creates critical infrastructure solutions that power our customers, communities, people and the planet.
