2nd shift - Distribution Team Lead

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Works with Supervisor regarding Employee Performance, Workforce Utilization and Training.  Plans and organizes department's operations, standard operating practices, and procedures.  Leads and instructs team in day-to-day activities.  Communicates daily volume to team and assigns work to team members.  Adjusts workforce as needed, in conjunctions with other leads and or supervisors, to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely manner.  Provides on the job training and direction to team members.  Analyzes productivity and kitting reports to achieve established goals.  Troubleshoots/uses problem solving techniques to resolve operational challenges.  Performs associate/operator work when time allows from their other duties, unless there is an urgent need in the warehouse that warrants top priority.  Reports all safety, productivity, quality, equipment, and personnel challenges to the Supervisor.  Completes other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.  Other duties as assigned. 

 

For This Role, You Will Need:

High school diploma or equivalent experience.  One year of warehouse/manufacturing experience.  Prior leadership responsibilities.  Requires the ability to understand/communicate quality requirements and supervise operations to ensure goals are met.  Must be able to manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.  Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a fair and collaborative manner to support a team environment.  Must be willing to learn how to use a PC and appropriate software needed to perform job.  Must be able to instruct and direct a small group of employees performing simple but diversified work. 

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart: 

Working knowledge of JDE. Forklift experience.
