2nd Shift FSQA Technician I- Packaging
Job Overview

The Food Safety and Quality Assurance Technician supports the overall Food Safety Plan through monitoring, record/product review and inspections.

Job Responsibilities Conduct verification inspections for post sanitation and pre-operation cleans. Conduct pre-operational and environmental monitoring swabs  Conduct plating of environmental monitoring swabs Monitor room, cooler and incubator temperatures. Conduct routine testing and monitoring of product and packaging attributes to established specifications Conduct daily review of labels and retain product Conduct real time review of production records Conduct daily line inspections. Conduct routine data entry and filing of paper work All GLC employees are expected to perform any assignment or job task according to the stated safety policies and procedures           All GLC employees are expected to produce our products in a manner that exceeds the quality and value expectation of our customers and consumers by adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in our Safe Quality Food Program. Other responsibilities as assigned by plant FSQA leadership. Maintain company confidentiality. The pay for this position is $21.65-$22.65. All offers will be based on a candidate’s skills, prior relevant experience, applicable degrees and certifications, and internal equity. This range is specific to New York and may not be applicable to other locations. Required Education and Experience High School Degree       Ability to complete tasks based on standard procedures.    Ability to handle multiple tasks and work cross-functionally Basic Computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.  Preferred Education and Experience Associate’s degree in Food Science or related field  SAP experience.  HACCP Certification. Working Conditions • Ability to constantly stand/walk; bend/flex/extend neck; frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with L/R hands.• Hair nets, ear plugs/muffs, hardhats, and/or safety glasses may be required.• Work is performed in a lab setting.• Occasional exposure to industrial operations including: temperature extremes from approximately 35ºF to 100ºF; noise levels in excess of 85 dB; moisture and moving machinery.• Work in a fast-paced production environment with average temperature of 60-80 degrees F.EEOC & Disclaimer Great Lakes Cheese is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action Employer.
