About the role
The Tipping Floor Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe, efficient operation of heavy equipment, including fork trucks, front-end loaders, vacuum trucks, metal drum shredders, excavators, and a facility street sweeper. This position is responsible for the refuse movement on the tipping floor and will maintain safe and efficient truck traffic flow through the tipping floor area. Equipment operators perform daily preventative maintenance tasks required for the upkeep and operation of various assigned equipment and other assigned tasks.
The schedule for this position is second shift hours from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM.
Position Requirements:
Knowledge of operating heavy equipment
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Industrial plant experience is a plus.
Responsibilities include:
Direct refuse trucks to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow
Move refuse per site procedures
Off-loading of box van trailers
Perform daily inspections on mobile equipment, including front-end loaders and forklifts.
Conduct and document refuse inspections for unacceptable waste
Unload supplemental waste using a forklift
Separate and load white goods
Comply with Corporate and OSHA Safety Rules and Regulations
Maintain good housekeeping practices
Familiarity with emergency procedures
Familiarity with operating procedures used during unloading of MSW and special waste
The expected hourly pay rate for this position is $25.00.
This is a good-faith estimate of what we expect to pay for this position. The final salary will consider various factors, including experience, ability, and location. Reworld is committed to paying its staff equitably, and these ranges should not be considered career salary limits or caps.
