2nd Shift Hospital Cleaner
**Job Title: Cleaner** **Job Description** The individual will be responsible for cleaning hospital rooms in the hospital. Mostly focusing on discharge rooms, which require sanitization between patients. This role involves extensive walking, so the candidate must be comfortable being on their feet all day. The tasks include wiping down equipment, emptying trash, sweeping floors, dusting, cleaning spills, mopping, and wiping down surfaces as needed. Attention to detail is important as there are multiple floors. **Responsibilities** + Clean and sanitize hospital rooms, focusing on discharge rooms. + Wipe down equipment, empty trash, sweep floors, and dust. + Clean up spills, mop, and sanitize surfaces as needed. + Use hospital-issued iPhones to receive daily assignments and access cleaning tutorials. + Learn and navigate the hospital's floor plan within a reasonable amount of time. **Essential Skills** + Experience with smart phone technology. + Housekeeping and janitorial skills. + Experience in cleaning, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted. + Comfortable walking and being on feet for extended periods. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + GED or high school diploma preferred. + Previous experience in healthcare janitorial work is preferred. + Experience in manufacturing/distribution with a willingness to transition to healthcare will be considered. **Why Work Here?** Once brought on direct, hospital employees benefit from very competitive medical, dental, vision, and PTO benefits. **Work Environment** Very fast-paced environment in a #1 trauma center.
