**Position Summary:**
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the safe execution of all maintenance work assigned to him/her daily. This entails the repair, replacement, troubleshooting, and adjustment of heavy industrial equipment such as fans, pumps, gear drives, compressors, etc. The position also requires that the individual be able to perform both structural and pipe welding, pipe fitting, blueprint interpretation, and basic math calculations. The Maintenance Mechanic also repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment.
**Essential Duties & Responsibilities:**
+ Understanding of systems automation and how components interact.
+ Troubleshoots equipment failures.
+ Knowledge of and ability to use various hand tools, lifting devices, power tools, stationary and mobile cranes, and man lifts.
+ Will be subject to bending, stooping, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting as well as having to work in all types of weather.
+ Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
+ Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
+ Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
+ Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
+ Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.
+ Repairs or replaces defective parts.
+ Lubricates and cleans parts.
+ Starts devices to test their performance.
+ Filling out and completing routine paperwork as required.
+ Follows good housekeeping and safe work practices.
+ Seek ways to eliminate maintenance work and to lengthen life between repairs.
+ Responsible for the timely execution of work orders.
+ Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.
+ Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support our system and other 3rd party audits.
**Qualifications**
+ High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.One to two years' experience maintenance in a manufacturing environment REQUIRED
+ Knowledge of basic math skills.Ability to comprehend technical manuals, instructions and warning signs.Knowledge and ability to safely and proficiently use a variety of hand and power tools and diagnostic equipment.
+ Computer skills a plus.
Pay for this position will depend on level of experience and will be determined during interview.

**Pay Details:** $15.00 to $18.00 per hour
