Job Description
The Maintenance Shift Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of skilled technicians as they perform the necessary repairs and preventive maintenance associated with the reliable operation of a beverage plant. This role involves working closely with the maintenance team, production staff, and other departments to minimize downtime and improve productivity.
ResponsibilitiesSupervise a shift of skilled technicians, providing guidance and support as necessary to safely accomplish plant production goals.Ensure department standards are met in the execution of maintenance work while employees adhere to both food and personal safety protocols.Manage the weekly scheduled work list, ensuring tasks are assigned and carried out appropriately to meet schedule compliance goals.Coordinate repairs with plant personnel and assign shift resources as necessary to manage urgent work lists.Conduct shift change meetings to inform employees of the state of the plant and make assignments.Train and develop technicians.Use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to create, update, and complete work orders.Verify spare parts inventories for plant equipment.Help manage and reduce repair part and labor costs.Develop preventive and predictive plans to increase overall equipment effectiveness.Essential SkillsElectrical troubleshootingMaintenance technician experienceHydraulics knowledgeMaintenance managementPreventive maintenanceMaintenance supervisionSchedulingMechanical repairHigh school diploma or equivalent qualification3-5 years proven experience in a similar roleStrong knowledge of machines and equipmentExcellent organizational and leadership abilitiesKeen eye for detail to ensure quality and safety standardsExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsAdditional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Facility Management, or a similar field is a plusGood understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systemsComputerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience preferredWhy Work Here?

Fast-paced beverage company with over 20 various types of equipment. The role involves working in a fats paced environment where adherence to safety and quality standards is paramount. The position requires flexibility and the ability to work on the 2nd shift.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
