The Maintenance Technician performs advanced and expert level troubleshooting, diagnoses, repair, maintenance, and reconditioning, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer’s specifications of machinery. This position operates mechanical equipment such as motors, hydraulic systems and pumps, conveyor systems, production machines and equipment, hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring and testing instruments.


What You'll Do:Observe devices in operation to locate root cause of problemDismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective partsAdjust functional parts of devices and control instrumentsRepair and/or replace defective parts; testing of device to observe performance; test for electrical and hydraulic circuitry and mechanical systems; order supplies and repair items as necessarySupport continuous improvement of the PM work instructions; adding, removing, defining these instructions and express improvements suggested to the Maintenance ManagerEngage in proactive maintenance activities that include repairing air leaks, oil leaks, replacing components, continuous improvement activities, project work, and minor repairs to equipmentAct as a proactive team member and work closely with the maintenance SupervisorAnalyze and recommend engineered solutions to failuresTroubleshoot and repair PLC problemsPerform Lockout/Tag out procedures for equipmentLay out, wire, build, and troubleshoot electrical panels and/or other machineryProvide leadership and assistanceWhy You'll Love Working for Us:Comprehensive Benefits Package to include medical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account with annual employer contributions and Flexible Spending AccountsCareer Development and On-The-Job TrainingEmployer 401K MatchEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid vacation and holidays Requirements What We Need from You:Minimum 2 years' related experience in Die Casting operationsExperience in manufacturing maintenance preferred, but not requiredAbility to operate a forkliftKnowledge of UBE or Buhler Prince Die Cast machines; hydraulic systems; stackmelter functions and operations; overhead cranes; plant air systems; hot oil heating units; Rimrock sprayers/ladles mechanical functions and controls; Fanuc and ABB robots programs, manipulation, maintenance, and troubleshootingEmployees are expected to work onsite to attend in person meetings and collaborate as necessaryAbility to stand, bend, and stoop for long periods of timeAbility to lift, push, and pull heavy objects up to 55 pounds regularlyAbility to read, write, perform basic math calculations, and complete visual inspections
