International has an exciting opportunity for a 2nd Shift Mechanic Manager - Prototype Build Operations at the Advance Technology Center located just south of San Antonio Texas. The 2nd Shift Mechanic Manager - Prototype Build Operations will directly supervise mechanics responsible for building prototype test vehicles to deliver vehicle builds on time to a high quality, and meeting engineering requirements. They will also have dotted line responsibility for the entire on-site 2nd shift R&D staff, including testing techs, fabricators, maintenance techs, and warehouse personnel. They will be the single point of contact for all 2nd shift team members.
The 2nd Shift Mechanic Manager will directly manage a team of mechanics responsible for executing prototype vehicle builds. They will establish workload priority for the team. They will guide development of daily build plans for execution by mechanics. They will work cross functionally across product development, and supporting functions, to execute the appropriate build procedures and to remove roadblocks. Additionally, the candidate will communicate build status across levels, either in person or virtually.
