2nd Shift Mechanical Assembler

In this role you have the opportunity to

Perform a wide variety of electronic or mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or subassemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering, and cable harnessing on assembly units. Make setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications. Perform the various tasks necessary to assemble electronic assemblies for production. Perform assembly and installation steps for the components required in production assemblies. This includes the documentation necessary to track the traveler and the assembler's performance.

You are responsible for

Assembling mechanical sub-systems integrating electronic components from work instructions and assembly drawings The manipulation of items using a variety of tools Functional Testing of sub-systems following Manufacturing Test Procedures Maintaining logs and paperwork and forms accurately Operating and troubleshoots production line machinery and computers Continuously meeting/exceeding production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards Self-monitoring of workmanship Understanding and following all safety requirements, as well as ISO Practices and Procedures Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent 3 or more years of experience in the electronics assembly field is required, including sub-system mechanical assemblies ESD knowledgeable

Preferred Qualifications:

Follow detailed written and verbal instructions Mechanical Assembly skills, including the ability to recognize non-conformities Follow Manufacturing Test Procedures functionally testing product, including Hi-Pot testing Problem solving skills Ability to multi-task and work in a flexible and changing environment with multiple competing deadlines Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior
