Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Welder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for welding fabricated components according to customer specifications and quality requirements. You will monitor your welding performance and efficiency to ensure top-tier results.
What You’ll Do:
- Set up and weld in multiple work centers with minimal supervision.
- Use hand tools, fixtures, and clamps for small welding applications.
- Interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Identify types of joints and welds, ensuring aesthetic quality.
- Maintain and troubleshoot welding machines, including changing wire and monitoring gases.
- Conduct tank leak tests and manage welding consumables.
- Inspect your own work according to quality standards and our Inspection Control Plan.
- Maintain work center efficiency and minimize scrap.
- Assist in training and mentoring other welders, and recommend process improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Bring:
- Exposure to metal fabrication concepts and processes.
- Ability to pass the UAI AWS D1.1 welding test.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in using overhead cranes, tape measures, calipers, and basic hand and air tools.
- Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly, 50 pounds frequently, and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
