Position Summary:

Constructs, repairs, installs, and removes various machines, equipment and piping, both metal and wood, with respect to quality, safety and sanitation in an efficient manner. 

 

Job Duties:

Reads and interprets drawings and layouts. Sets up and operates the equipment necessary to perform all functions of the craft. Installs, maintains, replaces, moves or removes equipment, machines and piping or any other production or maintenance devices. Unloads propane and hexane. Installs and maintains insulation on equipment, piping, ducts and spouting. Makes repairs to and checks machines and equipment for correct operation. Performs all operations necessary for the construction, installation and repair of equipment and devices designated. Maintains shop cleanliness. Does necessary carpenter work. Performs the lining of conveyors. Maintains a clean and orderly work area and removes material and equipment from job site. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Prefer candidates that completed a Millwright Apprenticeship Program through the U.S. Department of Labor, Office of Apprenticeship.  Candidates with equivalent directly related Millwright work experience may be considered. This position is on 2nd shift that starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM. The rate of pay for the 2nd shift Millwright classification is $31.30 plus a 60 cents per hour shift differential for 2nd shift.  Overtime is required including working weekends.
