2nd Shift Sorter

Pay Rate: $14/hr 
Schedule: Monday - Friday   Hours: 4:00 pm - 12:30 am

Mandatory overtime is determined by business needs and may require additional hours during the regular schedule, as well as availability on weekends.
Dress Code: Casual attire is acceptable but must be within company guidelines. Closed toed shoes are required.

Position Summary:
Under direct supervision, a Sorter assigned to the Product Identification Department (PID) is responsible for preparing returned/recalled pharmaceuticals that have been scanned for further processing.  The Sorter position requires high attention to detail and ability to operate technology such as software applications, and touch screen computers and the ability to read, understand and follow standard operating procedures specific to this position.

Primary Accountabilities:

Review paperwork attached to the order and verify client information matches the computer system client profile; weigh the entire order and enter information into computer systemSort items in the order by manufacturerSeparate any non-returnable or waste items and put them in the proper locationWeigh the non-returnable/waste items and enter information into computer systemFill out forms pertaining to the order as instructedAlways maintain a clean and orderly workstation and areaIf forklift certified, operate forklift for movement of order/products on the processing floor, if assigned

Additional Responsibilities:

Performs other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standards

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma (or its equivalent) or minimum of two year’s work experience in a warehouse or production job; or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to complete the responsibilities of this position requiredLegally authorized to work in the U.S.Working knowledge of computersAble to follow standard operation and safety proceduresAble to work in an environment that is not climate controlledAble to read small print, such as on a pharmacy bottleAble to push a cart or hand truck up to 100 yards; able to use a pallet jackAble to grasp and use box cutters and seal zip lock bagsAble to work under time pressure and meet production goals; able to work more than 8 hours per day (over-time) as neededAble to assist with other operations within the warehouse, as neededAble to handle hazardous waste materials with appropriate safety measures
