2nd Shift Superintendent

$100k-110k+/year

A local company is hiring a 2nd Shift Superintendent for their expanding business.  This is a direct hire opportunity.  The qualified candidate will oversee the daily operations of the production facility ensuring the plant operates safely, and performs to the highest quality standards and in compliance with industry and regulatory standards. The Shift Superintendent must be knowledgeable and experienced in Lean manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

Manage plant operations, quality control and maintenance. Collaborate with Human Resources on hiring, training, and performance reviews. Ensure employees are trained in a timely manner and following safety protocol. Work closely with other departments to ensure seamless operations and meet production goals. Provide leadership and mentoring of key personnel. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local safety & environment standards. Implement safety inspections, audits and training programs to foster a safe working environment. Identify areas for process improvement, implement strategies to enhance productivity, efficiency and reduce waste. Serve as the expert in Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving tools to eliminate downtime, quality issues and waste. Develop and manage shift budget.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering or a related field; or equivalent related experience. A minimum of 5 years in manufacturing or production is required, with at least 1-3 years in a supervisor role. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Able to coach, mentor and develop personnel Expertise in Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement and other tools. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA) and quality assurance practices Proficient in production management and operations Problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication skills both oral and written.

Compensation and Benefits:

$100-110k+/year. Pay rate based on experience and skills. Excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision and life insurance. 401(k). PTO. Employees are eligible for benefits the first of the month following the month of hire.
