Our client in St Peters, MO is seeking a 2nd Shift Supervisor to join their team!
**Job Title: 2nd Shift Supervisor**
**Location: St. Peters, MO**
**Pay Range: $24/hr**
**What’s the Job?**
+ Supervise and coordinate the day to day operations; 30 - 50 employees during 1st Shift Hours
+ Ability to read and understand Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Instructions, and SOPs
+ Trains employees on the proper use of equipment (i.e. labelers, tape machines, shrink bundling equipment and motorized conveyors) requiring starting/stopping equipment and clearing jams.
+ Trains employees to perform manual operations of folding packaging materials, case packaging, palletizing finished cases and moving pallets.
+ Trains employees to maintain work area’s in a neat and organized fashion corresponding with good manufacturing practices and reports/corrects any unsafe conditions within the department control.
+ Ensure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe working environment, including PPE (i.e. safety glasses, steel tip shoes etc.).
+ Manage the workforce to achieve productive goals and performance standards
+ Assign work to employees, track progress and provide constructive feedback throughout projects.
+ Works with RB and Manpower Management Staff to ensure all employees are trained to follow current work instructions and adheres to Quality Control Plan and related SOPs.
+ Assist in physical inventory of materials and supplies and ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained.
+ Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department or work crew.
+ Performs accident investigations as required
+ Maintain appropriate documentation and approve daily hours of personnel. Maintains time and production records.
+ Controls the inventory of supplies and raw materials, work in process, and scrap within the area of responsibilities.
**What’s Needed?**
Max of 5
+ Previous experience in a supervisory role
+ Knowledge of lot control products and GMPs
+ Excellent communication and leadership skills
+ Skill in using a personal computer and a variety of software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
+ Great organizational skills and an eye for detail
+ Ability to train employees when needed
+ Work effectively in a Team based work environment.
+ Ability to stand or walk for entire 8-hour shift.
