As a 2nd Shift Surface Grinder A, you will be part of the manufacturing department supporting the production of high-quality industrial knives and wear products. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to quality, which will align successfully in the organization. **Job Title:** 2nd Shift Surface Grinder A **Location:** Greendale, WI **Pay Range:** $25.00 - $35.00 (DOE) per hour **What's the Job?** + Set up, adjust, and operate a surface grinder to achieve required finishes on flat surfaces with multiple dimensions. + Utilize blocking, aligning, and securing techniques for irregularly shaped workpieces, employing magnetic chucks and sine plates as necessary. + Dress and change grinding wheels to meet various finish requirements, including radius and angle adjustments. + Assist in the development and implementation of process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. + Interpret blueprints and utilize inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure quality standards are met. **What's Needed?** + High School Diploma or GED; 5-7 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. + Extensive knowledge of Mattison (reciprocating) style surface grinders and grinding angles. + Familiarity with Blanchard (rotary) style surface grinders is a plus. + General knowledge of manual machine operations is required. + Ability to regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs. **What's in it for me?** + Competitive pay with a shift differential of $2.00 for 2nd shift. + Comprehensive health insurance plan. + Generous vacation policy to promote work-life balance. + 401(K) plan with company match to help you save for the future. + Opportunity to work in a world-class, air-conditioned facility with state-of-the-art equipment.
