Job Summary

Trane Technologies is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader! The Warehouse Team Leader is responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of team members employed to work in a given department to ensure operations run seamlessly.  They will focus their efforts on operational excellence, training, communication, and various other activities within the warehouse. They are responsible for coordinating work assignments and facilitating safety, quality, delivery, inventory, productivity, and training accomplishments of their assigned team while modeling servant leadership and developing team members. He/she is always on the floor to monitor and evaluate the performance of workers and ensure that work equipment is available. The hours for this role are 2:30p-11:00p.

Responsibilities: 

Overall performance responsibility and coaching for performanceCompletes hour by hour productivity and reports out on daily performanceLearns lean fundamentals and implements lean thinking in daily workProcess owner for inbound, outbound, and the Value-Added Services (VAS) department, including continuous improvement of the processManages the workload of the team to maximize productivity to support the business’s needsPerforms standard work, material handling roles as needed, and behavior-based safety auditsResponsible for creating and maintaining standard work for warehouse processesLeads and participates in employee engagement activities and employee committeesWorks cross-functionally with other departments to improve current processesDevelops and maintains positive working relationships with both internal and external customersAnswers a wide variety of questions from internal and external customersDemonstrates ability to cope with stress and maintain a pleasant and cooperative temperamentAssist in and support the development and training of employees, process improvements, and continuous learningOther duties as assigned

 

Qualifications: 

Previous leadership experience preferred Knowledge of Lean preferredMust have good communication skillsTeam focused and inclusive across teams and shiftsMust be able to demonstrate sustained exemplary performance in attitude, attendance, and abilityMust display initiative and creativity in problem solvingMust be able to promote continuous improvement in products, services and processesStrong computer skills. (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
