Job Summary 

As a member of the Legal & Compliance senior leadership team, oversee and manage all aspects of the company’s litigation and employment matters. This role requires strategic thinking, extensive experience managing legal teams, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. This role is instrumental in protecting the company’s interests, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and fostering a positive and productive working environment. 

Skills and Background You’ll Need 

With a focus on advancing a culture of excellence and continuous improvement, lead teams, including the employment and litigation teams. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performing team environment. 

Partner effectively across the organization to drive operational efficiencies by adopting best practices, leveraging technology, and utilizing innovative legal solutions. 

Work with other senior leaders on budget development and budget management ensuring cost-effective operations without compromising quality. 

Serve as a legal expert on a range of issues including employment law, litigation and claims. 

Foster strong relationships with leadership outside of Legal & Compliance to ensure consistent delivery of legal services with a focus on excellence and supporting the company’s strategic priorities.  

Required: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. 

Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in an in-house legal department with a minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role in an in-house legal department for a financial services company. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of professionals. 

Required professional licensure or certification: Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.

Please note - the salary range for this role is listed below. In addition to salary, our package includes incentive plan participation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits, as well as an initial PTO accrual of 164 hours per year. Employees also receive 11 paid holidays and 2 wellness days per year.

 

Eligibility to participate in an incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program and plan. Any award depends on various factors, including individual and organizational performance.

Salary Range:

$184,750.00 - $307,250.00
