Supervises clerks in the absence of the manager or assistant manager. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assigning and directing work, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems. Must have cash handling and customer service skills. Must be able to work any weekday, weekend or holiday shift scheduled. Uniform shirt is provided. Pants to be furnished by employee under department guidelines. All pre-season training mandatory. Must be 21 years or older
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Supervises and performs the duties of employees engaged in sales work, pricing, taking of inventories, reconciling cash with sales receipts, keeping operating records, and/or preparing daily record of transactions.
Assists in the selecting, hiring, scheduling, evaluating, training, and disciplining of staff.
Lists, totals and informs customer of total price of purchases. Operates cash registers and credit card machines. Receives payment from customer for purchases and makes change. Enters data for inventory, costs and prices. Bags or wraps purchases for customer.
Orders merchandise or prepares requisitions to replenish merchandise on hand.
Ensures compliance of employees with established security, sales, and recordkeeping procedures and practices.
Responds, positively, to guest questions and comments; performs other duties as assigned.
