What You'll Be Doing

The Patient & Physician Liaison will serve as the primary point of contact between patients, prescribers, and pharmacy services in support of the 340B Program. This role ensures eligible patients are connected to affordable medication access through 340B, while maintaining program compliance and improving care coordination with physician practices.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Doctor & Front Office Support:Train and assist physician offices with 340B enrollment and operational workflows.Educate patients and providers on 340B eligibility, benefits, and program guidelines.Prior Authorizations Management:Handle PA submissions and approvals, working with insurance providers and physicians to minimize delays.Patient Eligibility & Enrollment: Assist in qualifying patients for 340B pricing and ensuring they receive cost-effective medication access.Assist with the identification and verification of 340B-eligible patients and providers based on program guidelines.Support patient enrollment in the 340B program, including insurance verification and documentation of qualifying encounters.Medication Coordination:Track prescription delivery timelines, payment processing, and refill reminders.Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are processed through the appropriate 340B channels.Ongoing Communication: Maintain regular check-ins with physicians and patients to enhance satisfaction and resolve issues proactively.Maintain accurate and timely communication with internal and external stakeholders (physicians, care coordinators, pharmacy, etc.).Track and report on patient access metrics, prescription fulfillment, and provider engagement.Compliance:Ensure program compliance with HRSA regulations and internal auditing standards.Escalate any potential compliance concerns to the 340B Program Manager or Compliance Department.Participate in audits, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives related to the 340B program.

 

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in healthcare, business, or a related field preferred.At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare, pharmacy, or case management setting preferred.Familiarity with the 340B Drug Pricing Program is strongly preferred.

 

Skills & Competencies:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to build trust and rapport with patients and physicians.Knowledge of healthcare systems, pharmacy operations, and medical terminology.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with EHR and pharmacy systems is a plus.Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.

 

Working Conditions:

Primarily works in an office or clinical environment.May require occasional travel between clinic sites and partner pharmacies.Must maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations. What We Offer
