PRIMARY FUNCTION

Performs a variety of warehousing duties that requires an understanding of the establishment's storage plan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations: storing, stacking or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage, verifying issue quantities against documents and preparing-it for shipment.Worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.Responsible for general house-keeping and ensures all warehouses are organized.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities and the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent2+ years previous experience in logistics management or coordinationWorking knowledge of PC computer systems and cargo/material management software preferredMust be able to pass a drug test, and have, or be able to obtain, a DoD National Agency Check Investigation (NACI) Interim Secret Security Clearance within 90 days from date of hire.
