**Job Title: 3rd Shift Machine Operator** **Job Description** The Machine Operator is responsible for operating the machines and preventative maintenance. They work closely with the production team to maximize the efficiency of the operation. This is a night shift position that the company is trying to grow.. The operator ensures compliance with all company policies, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations. **Responsibilities** + Use equipment to complete operating tasks. + Align equipment using specialized tools. + Transition from auger to auger or from auger to machine. + Maintain equipment by performing preventative maintenance. + Collect and inventory distinct machinery parts. + Check for holes in pipes, legs, and augers. + Collaborate with production workers to identify what needs repair or construction. + Troubleshoot equipment for electrical and mechanical problems. + Install, update, and repair equipment. + Work closely with production to minimize downtime while maintaining high quality. + Repair or replace valves and pumps (seals, steams, O-rings, seats, bearings, etc.) as needed. + Perform basic electrical wiring (switches, outlets, starters, motor leads, etc.) as needed. + Perform basic pipe fitting as directed. + Change all types of bearings, power transmission belts, roller chains, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic components, electric motors, gearboxes, and centrifugal pumps. + Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, pumping, and steam systems, overhead hoists, and cranes. + Perform routine tasks such as lubrication of machinery, bearing and seal replacements, roll changes, and cleaning of parts during overhauls and preventative maintenance routes. **Essential Skills** + High school degree or equivalent. + Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation. + Ability to lift 60 pounds, climb ladders, and operate a pallet jack with 2,000 pounds of material. + Three (3) or more years of experience as an industrial mechanic, millwright, or maintenance mechanic in an industrial, agricultural, manufacturing, or military environment. + Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing various types of industrial equipment or machining equipment. + Experience and understanding of precision maintenance practices. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with laser alignment equipment. + Use of precision instruments to align and measure equipment that is being installed or modified. + Ability to use common power tools including saws, drills, and grinders. + Knowledge of standard and metric size hand tools including wrenches, sockets, allen keys, bits, and taps. + Ability to construct, assemble, repair, and dismantle machinery and equipment using tools such as hammers, wrenches, crowbars, rollers, dollies, hoists, and other hand tools. + Ability to understand schematic diagrams, blueprints, sketches, building plans, and other specifications required for the job. + Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values efficiency and high-quality work. The environment is dynamic, requiring adherence to safety standards and regulations. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
