**Job Title: 3rd Shift Operator** **Job Description** As a 3rd Shift Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment and machinery to ensure optimal production and quality output. You will work with various pellet mills, maintain bin levels, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and ensure a clean and safe work environment. **Responsibilities** + Operate a front-end loader and other heavy equipment to load different styles of pellet mills. + Maintain watch over bin levels, including raw material, C.P.M., Dry Hog, and fuel bins. + Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, spot fires, and hot bearings continuously. + Maintain pellet mill feed rates and adjust or change pellet mill rolls/dies accordingly. + Move trailers around the yard for the distribution team. + Keep the work area clean by clearing piles of sawdust around the mill room. + Use catwalks and climb ladders up to 30 feet high. + Solve pellet mill maintenance problems using mechanical and troubleshooting skills. + Perform simple to complex math calculations. + Work in a high temperature/humidity area. + Monitor and regulate Dryer Inlet and outlet temperatures. + Check oxygen and carbon dioxide levels in the dryer and record the readings. + Use AC drives and controllers for optimal production and quality pellet output. + Complete daily and shift reports detailing temperature readings, moisture levels, and production metrics. **Essential Skills** + Experience operating heavy equipment such as loaders and excavators. + Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery. + General production and machine operation skills. + Ability to perform both simple and complex math calculations. + Capability to work in high temperature and humidity conditions. + Experience with AC drives and controllers. + Ability to use catwalks and climb ladders up to 30 feet high. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with front-end loaders and skid steers. + General labor and production experience. + Proficiency in maintaining optimal production and quality output. + Ability to complete detailed daily and shift reports. **Why Work Here?** We offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401k plan with a 5% company match, and various bonus programs. The 3rd shift operates from 11 PM to 7 AM, Monday through Friday, with training on the 1st shift from 7 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, for 3 weeks to 1 month. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.
